The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed about the large amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance place established for intervention activities a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
